Powerplay Merits for enemy kills please!

Can we please get merits or bounties or something for killing ENEMY ships that interdict us. I get interdicted by other powerplay factions NPC's so often and get nothing for it in FRIENDLY SPACE. Please just 1 merit or 1000c or something lol. Anyone else agree? same should apply to human players under same conditions!

Also more merits for killing players.

Scaling with their ship of course, to stop exploits/farming friends.
 
I agree we need to get something for destroying Powerplay faction ships that interdict and attack us. Currently they only give at most a 200 Cr bounty from them assaulting us if they are not the same faction as the faction that controls the system we are in. I have been interdicted by Archon Delaine ships while traveling in a system controlled by Li Yong-Rui while pledged to Aisling Duval.

That is to say without using faction names but numbers showing faction differences: being interdicted by faction #1 in faction #2's system while pledged to faction #3, where all factions are considered hostile to each other. Even though I was technically trespassing on faction #2's territory, both faction #2 and faction #3 should be rewarding me for destroying faction #1's ship, with faction #2 rewarding me for destroying an invader, and faction #3 rewarding me for destroying an enemy vessel. I could understand faction #2 putting a bounty on me if I destroyed one of their ships in a system they owned, but I not only helped my own faction (faction #3) but also faction #2. There should be some reward for doing this and it should be better than the assault on another ship bounty that the interdicting ship incurs.
 
I hate to play devil's advocate, but I can kind of see why PP merits wouldn't be awarded for killing rival PP agents. Merits are awarded for completing specific tasks that accomplish specific PP goals. That being said- yes. it would be freaking sweet if destroying enemy agents netted, say, 5 PP merits. I agree that they should be worth *something*, but not as much as actual PP missions. That way, you aren't just hunting for random enemy agents just to harvest PP merits and have greater incentive to focus on things that actually help your faction.

Yes, and the merits earned should count towards the fortifaction level of this system.

And as the other user said: scaling rewards for player kills (not only for merits).

I kind of understand what you mean about getting merits for PP objectives but I played last night most of my interdiction were from ENEMY ships and I received nowt. However had I been in certain systems I would have had over 50 merits. I don't care about being attacked but even if a worthless pirate Eagle attacks me with no shields I'm still getting 1000c and rep for blowing it up.
 
Way I see it - I just did my power a favor by vaporizing the chucklehead that interdicted me - he's not going to bother the next guy that might not be as capable as I am at it.

Even if it's just 5 merits and a bonus 1000 credits. The 200 credit bounty for his assault is frankly a joke and makes the interdiction more irritating than anything - especially now that NPC's actually follow you and re-interdict you.

Only if you kill them in specific PP areas determined by the faction you're pledged to. For example, A. Lavigny-Duval pledgers need to kill them in Crime Sweeps. All PP pledgers regardless of whom you pledged to can go to their faction's systems that are being undermined by enemy factions and kill enemies for Combat Bonds.

Frontier has published a manual (sorry, no link but shouldn't be hard to find). Although specific to ALD, the following tutorials have some info that applies to all factions.

In that case, if you destroy the Delaine ship you do earn 30 merits, and undermine Li Yong-Rui as well. Which is stupid. (If it's a Control System. If it's just an exploited system, then nothing. Which is also stupid.)
 
Yeah, it should be 30 merits a kill. But then if it was 30 merits a kill, would you undermine. At the minute it's not worth te ammo to shoot them down.

I normally dont bother engaging, just boost and jump, as you suggest, its not worth the time and ammo to kill them. About the only tangible benefit for killing enemy ships is to help your combat rank, since most enemy power's ships are usually high rated.
