Oh sweet enlightenment, now we got another update which
didn't take merits for one into account but even increased the work necessary for expansion to 5 times the effort?
Dear FD please keep in mind, there are small factions participating in pp, too,
which you just backstabbed by this update.
Having an advantage in expansion now requires like 6k to actually expand into a system?
Do you really think, anybody is going to be interested in expanding (1 merit per kill!!!!)
playing a 24/7 combat zone without getting compensated for the effort, apart from the hardcore
power players?
Was this really necessary?
If the merits would simply scale by ship-type and skill, I would be happy. I can pop vipers and even Asps all day long for 1 merit per kill. I killed hundreds this last cycle. However, the Elite Anacondas and Pythons which are so difficult and thick-hulled yet only pay 1 merit if you manage to get them alone and take them out... It could use some work.
I haven't tried piracy since the powerplay beta, but I agree with whomever said that the merits are a bit low per-ton. If you could scoop them all in a reasonable amount of time it wouldn't be so bad, but the space-cops were always showing up and spoiling all my fun. I'd get 4-5 units and then get chased off.
