So, this morning after the 7:00 UTC scheduled maintence window of 40 minutes, I noticed that the powerplay didn't rollover to the next week. While odd I just ignored it. I double checked my total merits for the week and my "earned this week" was around 956. Since I only needed 750 merits for the pulse distruptor (as this is my fourth week with Felicia Winters) I thought I was set.
Then there is a broadcast that the servers would go down for approximately 10 minutes for emergency maintenance. So I log out, wait for the maintenance window to close, and log back in. I get a notice that I obtained a salary of 501,000 credits, which appeared promising. I then check my powerplay merits it tells me that I'm actually in Rank 2 with 239 merits?! This number happens to be exactly 1/4 the merits I earned from last week. I had expected to see it cut in half, but not reduced to a fourth!
So, my question is, am I alone in this? If not, my guess is that the emergency maintence triggered the halving of merits twice, instead of the usual once.
If Frontier Devs are reading this, can we get a spot check on the merit halving? Perhaps I'm way off base as this may have been intended and announced prior. If so, I offer my apologies. If not, please help?
