Merlin engines in space?

So, I just got my Asp (and yes mother I am flying it with insurance). I loved the sound of the Cobra and Viper engines, but I must admit the growl of the Asp, particularly of the thrusters, is my favourite yet. Has anyone else noticed the similarity with the growl of a Merlin engine (of Spitfire and P-51 Mustang fame?) or is it just my imagination?:

The sound of victory.

Kudos to FD on the sound all around, it is amazing.

Another Commander wrote that it reminded him of the WW2 Lancaster...

That would be the RR Merlin engine with 2 stage supercharger (P51 Mustang had the Packhard built Merlin), so I suspect its been noticed!

The real question is "do Rolls Royce make the engines for the Asp?"

Fly safe

And do they make them at their plant here in Halifax?
