I'd just like to wish everyone here on the forums a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Elite filled New Year.

It's been quite a year for Elite fans, a few of the highlights being.

  • The kickstarted was funded. :cool:
  • The Drabble thread keeping everyone entertained. even though Cathy seems to win most weeks. :D
  • The brilliant work from the Lave radio guys, the station and the parody thread as well.
  • The incredible amount raised by the Movember Mobra team. and the glorious sight of a debearded Mr Brookes. a massive well done to everyone who participated and those who donated. :D
  • The Alpha phase dropping on time. :D :D :D
  • All the fantastic Artwork projects. Mobius, Jenner to name just two.
  • Susan Boils...:eek: I knew I shouldn't mention her but.....
  • The community spirit that continues to show just how great this forum is.
  • OSS133 making a sensible post (he must have done one at least. ;))
  • The various meets that occurred where great fun was had by all. and the people who put in a lot of work to organise them.
  • The Station cake complete with DB & MB. :cool:

  • All the hard work done by everyone at Frontier to make the game we've all wanted so badly for the last 18 years. Thanks guys. :cool:
So, again Happy Christmas everyone and lets hope 2014 is even more Elite filled that this year.

I am not going to make a list. Thank you to you all for showing you kept the faith even if you weren't on this forum in the quiet years.

Thank you Frontier, you finally stopped making fluffy kids games and made THE game we all kept begging you to make. Thank you for having the guts to take that risk. Thank you for not letting us down and showing that our faith in you was justified.

It's been a really fantastic year. Having it topped off by the alpha is the cream on an already creamy and delicious cake!

Hard to believe at this stage 12 months ago we were still far from the Kickstarter goal! :eek: And now look, a great community, a brilliant dev team, a range of awesome fiction works, a fantastic alpha and a truly promising game in the works. I really couldn't ask for more! Much back-slapping all round, ladies and gents :D

Oh, but on the subject of asking for more... The Elite Audiobooks Kickstarter still has just under 50% of its campaign to go! Hop on over and throw a quid in the pot - you'll get an ebook and an Elite story for it :)

its been an intresting year for me what with
creating personal Signatures for the millions of forums members.
taking part in various projects be it book covers, website banners, campaign posters, Psykokows Mugs

its been a colourful year and also made some friends here,
you know who you are,

i imagine that come Spring 2014 people will start to filter off at the end of Beta 2 and what was will be just a fond memory.

No but this is the begining of the End.
the end of a year of waiting and the begining of something very special to all of us.

I'm not as active a member of the community as others but i try to show my face when i can, and follow as many posts as my dim-witted brain can handle ;) I was always a bit of a lurker on these forums (coming back every six months or so for any news or developments) but only signed up at the start of the KS campaign. You guys are always welcoming, so i want to thank you all for that.

Have a great alpha... err i mean christmas :)
