Seems to be a popular lurk now. Lost everything due few poorly timed bugs, head out to rack up some NPC credits in the freebie Sidewinder, no humans there. Then a speed run Eagle appears knocking my shield out and hull egg shell thickness in one pass.
Once in that state your dead meat, can't out run, can't out turn. They must be lurking on the far side on edge of radar waiting for cheap human kills. Three times over an hour apart each this happened.
Makes life hard if you have to trade make credits.
I think that happned to me too, Suddenly under fire, and very quickly
dead, so no ordenary sidewinder as it would have taken much longer to
obtain same result. As said, it's a combatzone and one should learn to be
more eyes out, and not have to much tunnelvision.
But the tactic of lurking somwhere just out of close scanner range.
and waiting until the prey have engaged in combat with a npc is
probably very effective. Most probably have their scanner set to auto
adjust so it will go to close scanning when in combat. So you really don't
have much warning if any when a lurker like that is boring down on you.
