In response to the May 30th Galnet Article:

30 MAY 3304

The Socho system, headquarters of Aegis Core, has been overtaken by a criminal faction. The system is now in a state of anarchy.

A courier carrying a message from Aegis scientist Dr Mia Valencourt managed to escape the system. The message was then broadcast by
the Rewired news service:

“This is an urgent call for assistance. Regional security forces have been overrun, and this vicious gang – they call themselves the Socho Gold Raiders – they’re in charge now. They’ve shut everything down. Apparently they’re convinced we’re building some kind of super-weapon, so that’s probably what brought them here.”

“They were so clever. We picked up what looked like a Thargoid signal and the security forces went charging in. Everyone was terrified that the Thargoids had come to Socho. But it wasn’t the Thargoids – it was a trap. The Raiders were waiting, and they cut those ships to pieces.”

“Please, if anyone’s listening, this is an emergency. It’s absolute chaos here. Please help!”

Professor Alba Tesreau, Aegis’s chief scientific advisor, made an emotional plea:

“It is inconceivable that elements of our own society would behave this way when there’s so much at stake. There is vital research taking place at Aegis Core. If it’s lost, these criminals will have placed all of us at risk!”

“I implore the galactic community to help free Socho from these unthinking vandals. Aegis is defending humanity against the Thargoid threat. We need your help to survive, so that we in turn can protect you and your families.”

Dr Tesreau,

This is [REDACTED] with Donar's Oak Security, Black Sector. Try to stay calm, We have received Dr. Mia Valencourt here at Donar's Oak in the Pleiades Sector IR-W d1-55. From what I am being told, she is understandably shaken up but she is otherwise fine and will remain here till we can get your situation there back under control.

AEGIS HQ has issues orders to all security posts here to hold position in case of a similar attack on this region but we simply have no reports of that kind of activity here. I cannot issue an orders for my men to follow but I will be taking a small team of volunteers geared for CQC from my sector here and a few from green sector. We will be arriving in an AEGIS marked Fer-de-lance geared for CQC. I will be inserting my team with the primary intentions of safely securing your teams and families inside the labs and secondly regaining control of the surrounding sectors or station if possible. I will be landing on dock 16 and my team will be making their way to the research areas by way of the maintenance corridor C. Until my help arrives continue to maintain the emergency locks on the bulkheads and don't let any non-AEGIS personnel into the restricted areas. Your effort to protect the data is to be commended but remember the safety of your team is paramount. I will remain in the area around the station doing what I can to make sure these pirates cannot reinforce themselves or bring in outside supplies any ship allied with these thugs or without proper station ID will be fired upon. If it becomes necessary for us to begin extraction, my team will escort you to the nearest rendezvous point though space would be tight.

Your plea to the galactic community and independent pilots was reported by Galnet and I'm sure its only a matter of time before we see patriots and reasonable minds from around the bubble coming to the aid of your station. I for one will not allow this deplorable act to go unpunished and will not rest until these kinds of criminal acts are stopped and these terrorists are brought to justice.

Professor Tesreau,

I haven't been able to establish contact with the ground team I delivered to the station. I can only surmise they are dead. Surely if they haven't made contact with you and your team by no then they have failed to break the raiders blockade around the labs. There were some good people on that team, friends of mine, all of them. Those s will pay for their deaths.

Dr. Valencourt was right about these pirates being clever though. Shortly after they took the station they began to pose as AEGIS personnel and have been unloading the supplies from the recent star port repair initiative. They have been stealing and siphoning those supplies and using then to bolster their own power, wealth and influence over the station. It's been tricky going out here trying to root them out but I and others refuse to give up on your team or the station. We have been doing what we can to interdict these criminals in flight around the base as well as clearing out skimmers and scanning private datalink of theirs to try to pick up on their secure transmissions.

We are making progress out here but its certainly not as fast... or clean as we were hoping. I know it must be h*** for you down there in those conditions but you have to hold out a bit longer. We will make a breakthrough soon, I just know it.

CMDR EdgeCrusher420 "TC" out...
