Recently bought a Python, and I'm working on A rating it (pretty much just need an FSD and power plant at this point). I know I need to get it engineered to really get the most out of it, primarily with maneuverability, so I need to finally start messing with all that. But I haven't even gotten most of the engineers "activated," as it were; still need to find a meta-alloy and a Soontill relic. But according to a recent Galnet post, Merope's barnacles have been entirely depleted, and I don't believe meta-alloys are sold in any markets. So what am I supposed to do at this point? Are there more barnacles elsewhere in the Pleiades, or what? And where are Soontill relics found?

Meta alloys are in Maia. The location of the relict stuff is guven in the incitation text by the enginner.
You can buy meta-alloy at Darnielle's Progress which is the planetary base on Maia A 2 A (the same planet that Obsidian Orbital is orbiting). You only need 1 to unlock Farseer and there is no point in buying anymore unless you are trying to repair a UA bombed station because you won't make any profit from it.

On the Soontil Relics, you may as well get all that you can, and not just the 3 for donating to Elvira. They're a rare commodity and worth more the farther you haul them. Long Sight Base is a pretty long haul. You can't sell them there, but you can anywhere close by. You'll make a good profit on them.
