It's tough when you first get out in the void, but you get past that eventually. :)


I knew the ratings were gonna be good anyways. I always believed. :D

Also, the user score is still increasing.

Stop congratulating yourself. User scores are actually falling. It began at over 8, now it is at 7.5. Wait until people go back and revise their initial 9s and 10s after few days of "Game play" and realize that game has very little beyond ok graphics and sounds.

I really hope that one day in the not too distant future ED will be worthy of that sort of score and more. If that is more or less likely to happen as a result of this inflated response I'm really not sure.

As I said elsewhere there is a strong whiff of the "Emperors new clothing" about this community at the moment. Professional reviews aren't immune from that, we all want ED to be a success as most of us have incredibly fond memories of the past games. But for me at least the Devs are getting things badly wrong in a number of areas right now. I hope they continue to listen to those willing to stand up and say its a long way from perfect.

What there is of the game at the moment is fantastic.

I hope they get planetary landings and walking out of you cockpit done and done good and then survive for at least a decade.
If all that happens then it will be super awesome fantastic encased in gold and platinum with a diamond on top.

I'd say most of the reviewers were quite accurate in their assessment that ED feels amazing right now, but it lacks content - which Frontier hopefully provides over the next months. As such, 80/100 sounds fair.

i think 7.5 on the user scores is pretty fair at the moment, i wouldn't like to see it dip any lower than that as ED is pretty addictive. having said that, ithink some new content/features need to come along pretty soon so that it doesn't lose it's momentum.
