Metal rich planet with rings 27.9 LS from the sun, can't wait for horizons.

Thought I'd share this with other commanders who love unusual systems, and this one definitely qualifies and will be worth flying out to land and see the huge sun in the sky with rings around this metal rich planet.

I think they said "Metallic" planets where in. They didn't specify if that meant metal rich, high metal, or actually just metallic planets. In the same way that they didn't specify if ice planets include frozen Water Worlds with no atmosphere. They did however differentiate between rocky and "rocky and icy", so maybe they do mean purely metallic. I kind of doubt it though, since metallic planets are pretty rare, and even rocky ones aren't that common, but metal planets of any stripe are EVERYWHERE.

Yes, but Fdev is saying "metallic" like it is actually a type of planet. Which makes me wonder if the person who created that talking point ever played the game. To be fair, it's been a few days of hype and no CMDR has yet even bothered to point out that "metallic" planets are either extremely rare or don't exist. We do however have plenty of Metal Rich and High Metal planets. I think they really meant HMCs though and not Metal Rich since they are talking about volcanism coming in a later update perhaps in season 2.

Well, I don't think that there is a more than 100% metal content planet out there. Considering how the distribution rate is (similar to the pristine metallic rings) I think that they meant the metal rich planets.

I don't understand what you mean with volcanism. Isn't there supposed to be volcanism on metal rich planets? It says iron magma.
