Newcomer / Intro Metallic Rings

Hi all

Does anyone know if the systems star type has any bearing on whether the rings of a planet will be metallic?

I am on my way to Colonia and will be doing some mining along the way and exploration but despite scanning 100+ system's, all I find are Metal Rich, Icy or Rocky.

Are Metallic Rings a rarity?

Yes, but they are out there.

Just be careful when scanning the rings that you scan the inner most ring of a two ring planet or gas giant,

Metallic rings are almost always the inner ring, the only time I have seen an outer metallic ring was when both rings were metallic.

Edit Synuefe ZY-R d4-6 planet 3 has 2 metallic rings, system has a total of 4.

It might help to choose heavy systems.

So when you see 'sector xy-z Letter number" aim for the higher letter. So if there are lots of C. Try find a D with the same xyz code

Depends how many systems are in a boxel though.
