Mexican Gray Wolf

Arctic wolves (and debatably dingos) are also a subspecies of grey wolf, just FYI
I think they were counting the Arctic wolf as one of the subspecies of Gray Wolf. The only two traditional wolves we have in the game that I know of are the Timber Wolf and the Arctic Wolf and they did say two subspecies. So I think they just forgot or didn't know about the dingo being a subspecies of wolf because then that would make 3 subspecies.
Personally I'd prefer Red Wolf or Ethiopian Wolf if we get another wolf though because they are different wolf species and not just a subspecies even though I do love the look of Mexican Gray Wolves myself but think that's more of a it can be covered by mods than it should be an official animal status since all the behaviors and vocalizations and habitat needs would be the same as the Timber Wolf anyway and only really the look would be different.

that said, IF Frontier puts yet another wolf in game, in order of most to least wanted:
- Ethiopian Wolf: Somewhere between wolf and jackal its IMO the best option
- African Wolf: Almost as good as Ethiopian Wolf but instead it doesn't have zt2 representation lol.
- Eurasian Wolf: does the wolf in game even count as Eurasian?
- Red Wolf: I think they are beautiful, but I'd be just as glad to see the Mexican Grey Wolf (the Mexican Wolf is genetically the most distinct of North American true wolves because the Red Wolf is considered a coyote like hybrid.)
- Indian Wolf: Just because its a warm weather wolf and is more wolf like than the Dingo
- Himalayan Wolf: would be cool because it looks different and is among the most genetically unique as well!
- Coyote: Called a prairie wolf so I guess it kind of counts... I put it on the list for only two or three reasons: Its ubiquitous and its iconic howl and culture surrounding it
- Coastal Wolf: This is getting deep into mod territory but I really like Coastal Wolves (Canis lupus nubilus) because of their beautiful habitat and they're really pretty. But you could super easily sub the in-game Timber Wolf!
