I had the Saitek "Pro" pedals. Actually still have them in a cupboard somewhere... But since 2017, I've rocked a pair of original v1 MFG Crosswinds. I know it's a cliché but the difference was like night and day.
Suddenly the pedals were actually useful for something other than just a footrest. The level of control you have while using them is head and shoulders above the Saiteks which were basically a joke.
I use them for roll and use my right-hand joystick for pitch and yaw. Awesome for sniping with fixed weapons at a distance.
I also use them to steer the SRV while the right joystick steers the turret and the left joystick handles pitch and roll duty when "flyving."
Took me a couple of weeks to retrain my body from yaw on the pedals to yaw on the flight stick, but now it's second nature and I couldn't ever imagine going back.
p.s. As for value, that's a personal call, but I have had zero regrets. I aways say, "if you're going to buy something, make sure you only have to buy it once."
i.e. Buy the best you can afford so that you don't end up wasting money on crap (like I wasted money on the Saiteks back when I first started gaming).
