Micro probes for new exploration

Hi. Does anyone have any info on the micro probes for the detailed surface scanner? As I understand it they come with the DSC but is there an ammo limit or do I not need to keep returning to restock? Currently outfitting my AspX ahead of tomorrow's update.

Unless there has been a very disappointing cave, they are unlimited and self-replicating.

You can fire three without delay, after that it takes a short time until you can fire again. They are not lost by leaving the DSS view either.

One very important point...

Remember that in 3.3 all Advanced Discovery Scanner becomes a standard core module, so you're gonna have a free internal slot. Yuo just need to install the ADS and that's it.

If you have engineered Detailed Surface Scanner, keep it on board - the engineering level will translate to FSS.
