Microelectrodes & Optical Fibers

Did you relog at the settlement? That clears all goodies.

To reset a settlement, super cruise away for a short distance and then return. This is especially useful if the game crashes. And have a spare power regulator, just in case.

Steve

Yes, I did indeed a relog. Interesting to know.. this must have been done to block relog farming.

Like, you need 15 microelectrodes, right? Speak to an NPC at a suitable settlement (base "suitable" on the concept that it's the right type to have a supply of circuitry) and they provide you a list of items they can supply in return for a mission.

Now that would really be a fair game ! I have spent the whole weekend taking missions, going to POIs and settlements, and I have just gotten 4 Microelectrodes. 🤷🏽‍♂️.. must be just bad luck. All lockers I opened in settlements had only G meds, health monitor, personal logs, personal computers, memory chips, insight entertainment modules, Push, Hush or s.th. other crappy like that. This really takes out the fun of the game.

I just sent a friend request to FelixDiCestria and going to buy the electrodes and fibers, I am through with this aspect of the game for a while.

PS: found on Inara that only IND, CMD and AGRI buildings spawn what I am searching for. Tried again and only found all other circuits than those I am looking for in an IND building. This game ist driving me mad 😵‍💫

As I said, planetary POI for circuits. Just cut open any panel you see attached to a piece of technology. Settlements offer very little in the way of circuits. Also, in settlements, any container or cabinet that requires cutting or unlocking only contains goods. If you want goods, open them, if all you are after is assets they can be safely ignored.

You focus too much on the items you want. Ignore what it is, just loot everything. Then trade up to what you want. It is the quantity that makes the game, not the quality. Ironically that also fits to "miles wide, but inches deep".
As soon as you focus on only one item, chances are the RNGsus is refusing to spit out exactly that. As I wrote before, restore or restart missions are a good start, because you can loot a whole settlement on the go. If you get better at combat (and own silenced weapons), also try the legal settlement massacre missions, which will also have the benefit of increasing your combat rank pretty fast.
So called useless stuff is also a good source of income. Sometimes a settlement run nets me around 2M credits just from selling the "useless" goods and/or data.

In the meantime, I got quite good in farming satellite crash sites for microelectrodes, optical fibers and also various data at their terminals. Of course, doing the relogging trick. But one must not be too greedy, I as a genius was trying to relog despite enemies had spawned and got killed while I was waiting the 15 sec timer to count down🤗🥳

Relog from the safety of your SRV.
