You can watch the conference through the link.

Given the speculation of a new console, I think this is of particular interest to the Xbox ED community.

Personally I'd love to see something about Scorpio, although I doubt it'll actually be revealed this year, probably next E3. I'd love to be wrong though :)

The Xbox One slim was leaked yesterday so I expect we will get some info on that.

Frontiers probably ! Gonna have to make yet another version for the new xbox on top of the ps4 version they are currently working on.

Not from my (rudimentary) understanding of the new console's rumored specs. The architecture is the same, from what I've heard, and if they change the GPU all it will require is a unified driver that works on both GPUs on both consoles. I doubt much work would be needed on FDev's end other than adding in the detections necessary to enable the higher resolution and improved framerate. Then again, I am not a game dev, so... Carry on.

They won't have to. The stronger Xbox One (which will not be revealed today) will be 100% compatible with today's Xbox One. That means there will be no need to create a new game, this Elite Dangerous will run on that too, only better probably. Since Elite seems to have an unlocked framerate the more powerful machine will run it smoother. There will not be much work needed from Frontier's side, if any.

I thought I heard that the new machine may support vr? If that's the case, then that adds a whole new element surely, as they have only done the vr stuff for pc as the xbox couldn't handle it.

Unsure on this as I ony heard a rumour of a rumour so slap me if I'm way off the mark.

It was just a little reveal video stating that it will have 4K ability and a larger internal hard drive (up to 2TB). The hardware will be starting at $299. Not much else besides that. The only thing I watched it for was to see the setting for Horizon 3, which will be in Australia.

Sadness, I already knew all that. Thanks though bro.

Looks like Microsoft is going head first into cross-platform play on the new GoW.

I wonder if this could mean anything for existing games, like Elite, could take advantage of this.

I doubt it, since it probably requires your W10 version of the game to either be purchased from the Windows store or some how tied into the Microsoft system.

According to the feed many games will be under their new "Play Anywhere" theme like Forza Horizon 3, Sea of Thieves, Gears 4, etc.
