Milan Flight Pedals MFG - my personal experience

Milan Simundza (www.mfg.simundza.com) is in a family business as a furniture production. His father was a pilot in the army and Milan and his brother have their own pilot license. Guess that with the experience in the furniture business and their passion as pilots, the business and hobby merged perfect together. As I received my MFG pedals a week ago, here is my feedback.

In Elite I am flying my Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas and those does not have a Z-axis on the joystick. I did compensate this with the mini-mouse on the thruster for the yaw functionality. But you reach the limits when you fly with fixed weapons as the precision is OK, but not 100%.

Before I bought the MFG I had those following misgivings:
- not comfortable during flying
- complicated to install and customize
- unnatural flying
- "kind of toy" which would slip on the floor

To unpack and build the pedals it took me like 20 minutes - to customize configure it on the PC about 5 minutes more.. and the pedals are block-stiff like a rock on the floor!

To my big surprise those pedals were very easy and comfortable to fly with. It did not feel "strange" at all. They are build from massive wood and really heavy, so there is no slipping at all. The precision is a different world, compare to my mini-joystick on the Warthog. The pedal distance is adjustable, so I can lay my feet really comfortable and relaxed on them. The resistance can be easily and ad-hoc adjusted by a spring and for the pro-pilots, they are delivered with two CAM's to adjust a similar fine tuning feeling like different aircraft -> !

The really big minus at first is the price for those pedals - around € 260.-. But as I see how "real" those are build, they will definitely last for a life time in my game play with Elite or later with other games. And if the spring or other part would be weaken, you can buy easy a replacement to it. I had the CH Pro pedals earlier, around the half of the price, but did not use them after 2 weeks and sold them on Ebay.

Here some videos, which helped me with the decision to order such a piece.

Very nice! Personally I prefer my Slaw BF109s for their all metal construction and overall appearance. Have fun flying with those Commander, nothing can beat flying with high end equipment like the Warthog and good pedals :D
