Is it possible to rank down? I ask because I just ranked up to Baron, but I really don't want to finish the rest of these missions I have... I want to go buy my clipper dangit!

You would lose rep and maybe earn some fines, but if you have the rank of Baron showing I don't think you would be demoted to Lord.

Awesome - thank you. I'm quite done with missions for now. Oh... and 'Yes' for anyone still wondering if you can get the discount at Nu still. I don't know exactly how much longer however. I think just one more day.
