Newcomer / Intro Military strikes

They used to be the same as CZs, but that was before they introduced the special ops and frequent ends of the battles. I'm hoping that someone can tell me whether they updated military strikes at the same time as the CZs. i asked before, but never got an answer.
To answer your question, whatever they're like today, they will be quite tough in a slow ship, like a Gunship. I would have thought that a shield tank would be better, like an FDL, Anaconda or Corvette.
