Please post your favourite mindblowing cosmic events here!

This one is mine:

A pulsar with a regular star orbiting. The pulsar is slowly sucking one side of the star dry and superheating it, creating a massive light and weird shaped cloud of gas.

I absolutely love that stuff like this exists.

It's not realy an event, but those "sounds of space" are both mindlblowing and eerie.
