Been playing with making some custom & more photo-realistic textures for Minecraft recently. This morning I thought, 'is there enough unique imagery to make an ED texture pack recognisable as ED'? Replacing the paintings in the art file is easy enough. replacing the textures is also really easy, including animating them. The real question is which textures, fonts, colour scheme, etc would be most fitting with an ED theme? Will be making the first pack as 128*128px blocks. Will probably waste 6 out of the 15 wool blocks available on reproducing a little ingame video. Would be nice to change trees to a space age growing organic or crystal or organic-metal concept that grows the same way but doesn't shout tree. Change fire for plasma, so maybe the tree alternative should be an organic plasma fuel.
