Mini-Pack: How’d you do it?

How would you structure a mini-pack? How would you address the following?:
  • How many animals?
  • How much scenery?
  • Would you introduce any new game mechanics?
  • Can you think of any examples and what you’d include?

I guess it kinda depends on how you interpret Mini-Packs.
I always like the idea of small bundles for very specific themes, like 1 animal and a handfull of decor pieces for a couple euros.
Holiday related stuff is the first that came to my mind.

-Easter Bundle: Domestic rabbit, easter decor.
-Thanksgiving Bundle: Turkey, thanksgiving decor.
-Chinese new year Bundle: Chinese water dragon or crocodile lizard (since 2024 is the year of the dragon), fitting decor. (Damn asian water monitor would have been the perfect fit lol)

3 animals , no scenery , no new game mechanics. It needs an emphasis on mini but still enough animals to warrant a dlc for. 2 is too few, 4 feels too much as that's basically a scenery pack. Adding scenery? Well the amount of scenery is either going to be so low its a waste of time or might as well make a scenery pack if we look at the usual amount.

An example could be Animal Groups focused in a certain region such as Asian primate pack (lion tailed Macaque, francois langur, silvered leaf monkey), South american primate pack (spider monkey, howler monkey, golden lion tamarin), Tundra pack (musk ox, walrus, Arctic hare)

The mini-packs would be free and anniversary related.

For example:
African bird mini-pack: Secretary bird, Shoebill, Grey crowned crane, Vulturine guineafowl
Burrowing animal mini-pack: Short-beaked echidna, European rabbit, Burrowing owl, Bat-eared fox
Exhibit mini-pack: Panther chameleon, Indian cobra, Green anaconda, Olm

I would like two kind of mini packs:

Option A) Habitat minipack
3 similar habitat animals with their 3 signs
(For example: 3 bears / 3 pelicans / 3 tortoises...)

Option B) Exhibit minipack
5 different exhibit animals with their 5 signs

Realistically: Two to three animals, maybe a handful of scenery pieces (or packs that are scenery-only). For instance:

Caribbean Mini-Pack
American flamingo
American crocodile
Cuban false chameleon (exhibit)

No new rigs.

The Mini Pack would have two types of formats, ideally both priced at $5 USD.

Each pack would feature a type of animal. If it's animals that are pretty similar to one another, and similar to what's in the game, it could be 3 animals. If it's animals that are a bit different from each other and what's in the game already, it would be 2 animals.

So say for example 3 foxes versus 2 Tree Kangaroos.

Statues and signs would be acceptable inclusions.

I wouldn't be opposed to a 3 animal set being some thing new to the game, like 3 ducks for example, but getting that first duck would take some work, so I'd think it makes more sense as a 2 pack.

I really like the idea of a pond mini-pack, featuring
  • Mute and Black Swans
  • A large freshwater habitat turtle like the Giant Asian pond turtle or the pig nosed turtle
  • A new exhibit type: the pond
    • Koi are a possible resident
    • Ducks could go here if they don't work as a habitat animal
  • For scenery, there would be smaller animal objects that look like realistic bullfrogs and pond turtles that can be placed around waterways.
  • There would also be flexicolor lilies, floating lanterns, and another plant or two to decorate ponds.

North American Avian Mini Pack
  • Canada Goose
  • Wild Turkey
  • Greater Roadrunner
Just those 3 animals, maybe a few feather props I guess idk what else would go with it
