Lol, I flew the Type-7 to pay for the Type-9. Unless you've got a Clipper, she's your best money maker in that price range. Terrible Shields, awful Hull Armor, shameful Hardpoints, troll-level heat management (seriously, you will be at critical heat after every jump!), hideous Pitch, decent Yaw, mediocre speed, good cargo space.
What more could you ask for?

It does it's job, though. It makes you enough credits Trading to get you into either a Python or Type-9 pretty quickly. Then it is probably getting sold. Didn't even want to mine in it, though I'm sure it is decent at it.

Just be sure to Submit, and 4 PIPs to SYS while you boost away!

Definitely save for a Python before they decide it needs a nerf.

Hi Mole.

I remember reading something about the Python getting hit with the nerf bat, possibly twice if memory serves? Do you know what the nerfs were by any chance?

I've got one stashed away but I generally find every excuse not to fly it so I've really no idea if it has been 'neutered' so to speak :D

I mean, the T7 will make you some decent money. Just find a trade route with short distance between where you drop out and the station to limit the amount of time that you're vulnerable to interdiction. It's not as lumbering as the T9, but it's not limber. Personally. I can't wait til I can get out of the T9 and into a 'conda.

I personally recall it has seen two nerfs. One of them was a agility/mobility nerf. It used to be akin to the pre buff ferdie in pitch and yaw and so on once upon a time from my understanding. I don't recall off the top of my head what the other one was though.

I consider the Type-7 an RP ship for Solo/PG.

I would never advise using it in Open.

But for Solo role-players like me, it's awesome.

I've happy memories of my T7 - very good miner/trader for the price but totally helpless in combat. I've been chased crying from asteroid fields on many occasions in a T7...happy days :)

so type 7 = space pig while the type 6 is a treat to fly, the type 7 erg and boy those shields 1 shotted by a eagle with rails. bonus is I doubled cargo space for runs, silver linings and all
