It'd be so dense that if you picked up a single fragment, if you actually got that far, your ship would become so heavy you'd be unable to jump anywhere.

Yeah, I mentioned that. He's past the SC exclusion, so drops out...
Now he's going to drop into the ring, but I suspect it'll take a while

He got there. The body exclusion zone is just under 0.12ls out. (But the distance on the HUD rounds to the nearest 0.01, so after he hit 0.12 he had 0.005 to go.)
