So once and only once have i been able to target a planetary ring with the FSS scanner, am i doin it all wrong? or is it bugged, should all planetary rings be highlighted with a circle that i can target then scan?
You would normally outfit and use the DSS for that, not the FSS. Lock onto the planet the rings are around and then go into DSS and pull your stick in any direction you want until is says ring then fire a probe.
