It's intended, in order to keep the number of objects the game has to track down to a reasonable level.Yeah well i thought after that pirate bit id give it another go (slap me now)! Ok so i figured out that just firing at the rock untll you had loads of rocks to pick up was the way forward! Ok fd this is where your physics break down and all that science stuff you go on about comes to nothing!
How is it that rock you rip off vanish after a set time surly whilst im in the instance they should remain. Nothing more annoying thatn getting 23m from the rock only for it to vanish!
Is anyone else getting this or is it a bug a stupid game feature !
I would mine if it werent this cumbersome. But currently it is not designed very well. The scooping is bad and slow. The chunks stay in game for very little time. I guess tractor beam wont happen which I would love as a late game mining tool.
Yeah they do disapear too quick. I usually get them all, but i feel that urgent stress which i think could be fixed. If its about getting too much objects at the same time then just delete ore if too many are being created. If we pop off 10 ore they shouldnt disapear until we leave the instance, or we mine more where the game deletes the initial one continuosly as we break off more and more. I hope FD can fix this.
Remember in X3 where you could set your ship to auto-pilot and pick up the floating rocks? Just a thought.
You forgot how many times it would slam itself into the roid?
Btw it was very slow.
Ohh those good days with a HQ full of Nvidium![]()
Since clearing my saved game on release day, I've made all my credits from mining alone.
I find it quite relaxing and fun, I'm not super-rich but I have enough to buy the things I need, currently at 132,647,355cr
Mining is good
could you imagine going to an extraction site in open play, where a few players have been going through the different asteroids ignoring all the low income minerals and have literally thousands of white specs on your radar because of it? I'm glad they disappear after a while, that many objects to keep track of would bring pretty much any computer to a crawl.
Sometimes usability has to take a backseat to playability
