when mining the asteroids I'm often in the shadow of the planet. Asteroids are not visible. Guided only by the focus of drilling lasers. Need a focused strong beam of light at a distance of 2-3 km.

The ship flies over at light speed, may be located near a stars whose temperature are tens of thousands degrees, and the headlights of the ship, like in the car.

I think the lights of our ships are actually pretty powerful when you consider the distances. It's just that a lack of scale makes it look like the asteroids are really close and our lights aren't powerful. It also varies from ship to ship, Python lights (my usual mining rig) are pretty good.
