Mining oddities

I've just returned from exploring to shinrata dezhra to equip a ship for mining and then headed back into the black for some void opal mining.

I've jumped around 700 LY outside the bubble to a few systems I mapped on my travels when the update hit so the rings are pristine.

The odd bit is I've flown around a void opal hot-spot for a couple of hours and not found a single core now I've decided to mine LTD's and jumped into a diamond hot-spot but all I'm now finding is void opal cores...

Like I said... Odd but I'm making millions.

I've noticed the same thing. I'm in the Witch Head area in an Opal hot spot and not ONE opal anything. Same system might have LTD - I'll have a look and let you know. They might have the names screwed up.

EDIT: Nope, not the case, no VO's in the LTD hot spots either. Did find a few LTD's rocks here and there by accident. Odd that those rocks don't glow at all. Makes me wonder what was the point of them glowing if they've got nothing but water and other "whocares" stuff in them.
