When I go mining I typically only want to keep ore from Osmium to Painite value-wise and I vent the rest - but this is an incredibly labor-intensive process and I often end up accidentally refining the odd bit of ore I don't want (like Coltan or similar). If an asteroid has a particularly strong concentration of an unwanted ore (say 40%) you have to be extremely quick to stop your refinery from completing it - especially if you have just completed another ore and a refinery bin suddenly becomes available.
Also, because I'm trying to vent unwanted ore as quickly as I can while reassigning bins to the ores I want (after the previous one completed) I often accidentally vent something I want to keep (venting 90% of a tonne of Painite is particularly annoying).
So, it would be very helpful if we could assign each refinery bin to a specific ore type and auto-vent the remaining unwanted minerals - this would leave us to concentrate on finding the ores we want rather than having to micro-manage the refinery every time a bin completes refining it's tonne - empty bins would no longer suddenly fill up with low-value ore.
