Mining Solo, Detonations visible (Other players?!

So if you're mining solo mode which im sure alot of you do. You see random spots where the detonations are happening. I have a question. Is this real players on the "Open play" doing this? I always investigate and see nobody around the explosion spots just the broken asteroid with no pieces. So i'm very curious. Are these other players we can't see cause we are solo and the are open play? I'm convinced these could be other players as I have seen my diamond hotspot disappear in a day and this second one is the only one left and its heavily being used but can't see anyone.

Yes, any dust clouds you see are from players in other modes. I assume that also includes Xbox/PS4 users.

Btw how large is the hotspot you are visiting? Smallest one I have seen is a few thousand km's wide, would take a long time to deplete. My Current hotspot is over 80,000km wide, not a chance anyone is putting a dent in that.

Must be a really cramped, overpopulated hotspot. Maybe search a more quiet place on your own? ;)

What happens if a player in one instance blows an asteroid that a player in another instance has just started planting charges on?

I make it a very strict policy never to speak of where I mine.

Usually they’re places that have me with First Discovered and First Mapped tags, and those that don’t, they tend to be places that are at least a little annoying to get to, like 300k+ LS from entry.

I suspect others will figure this out soon enough and this trend of keeping information will spread.
