Mining worth it yet?

It always did. Well, as long as there has been materials anyway. Mining is a very good way to get materials. It's not like you need to search for the rocks.

However, you won't get class-5 mats, such as tellurium, technetium and antimony.

The best place to mine for mats is metal-rich rings. Rocky is pretty good too. Or mine for profit in a metallic ring and get the mats as a bonus.

I must say Mr Lizard, I saw your detailed post on it (must have taken many hours of work) and gave it a try, at a place where the station was just by the ring, and the Arsenic drop was 2.9

Four hours later, three arsenic. So, for me, not great. But however, thinking about it, maybe I should have set the limpets to ignoring everything but the material drops.

I can confirm that Beta-3 Tucani 5A has plenty of arsenic in 3.0. I was getting consistent 2.5%. However, it used to have molybdenum, but no longer.

But you are right. Either ignore everything but the materials, or just don't take a refinery.

I suggest only mining the High yield roids. They are about 20% of roids in a metal-rich ring and average about 7-8 fragments each.
