Minor Faction Influence

I spent most of the last 5 hours doing missions of all varieties across 2 system for a minor faction and the influence percentage hasn't budged in either system.

I'm sure this used to change in real time when a mission was completed?

No it didn't. It changes on the daily BGS tick, which is 11.00 GMTish?

Perhaps I'm getting confused with the blue slider that shows influence gains?

That seems to move slightly but percentages won't until the tick?

Neither the influence slider nor the percentage number will change, until the tick. Your Reputation slighter will change in real time, but the Influence one will not.

We have never been given any real-time feedback on how well we're doing in between ticks.

It shows the direction of effect of your action.

However, because the actual influence effect of your action depends on what other actions both you and other CMDRs do in that system that day, what effect it actually had can't be calculated until day end.

You're potentially thinking of the Reputation slider. There is no influence slider.

Reputation changes in realtime.

Could be. Its been a while since I did the minor factions thing so I seem to remember having a lot more immediate success over the influence but I never realised at that time there could have been tons of players doing the same thing as me!
