Something I remember back from when I used to go mining.
The dark side of a planet/moon where you weren't getting much light was very dangerous since your ship lights are useless beyond 150m(ish).
My thoughts once again come back to this when it comes to landing on the dark side of a planet. Sure once you're on the ground the SRV 2 light modes tend to (tend to anyways, although sometimes its not enough) provide enough light to see where you are going. But the lights on your ship are basically useless when preparing to land (at least on the Anaconda).
Perhaps give ships 2 levels of light intensity (much like the SRV)?
And speaking on the SRV's 2 light modes. Is it just me or do they tend to light the same amount of space around you just at a different brightness. Shouldn't the stronger light intensity give you further vision?
