Minor ship peeve.

Small ship fan here and in all my careers I use a variety of ships from the Python (small?) on down.

Anyway my two favorites (or at least the ones I gravitate too most) are the Cobra Mk III and the Python - the two ships with my, albeit minor, issue and peeve - and that is the empty co-pilot seat!

I like the Asp, DBS, and T6 a lot also with the added bonus of it is just you in the cockpit. Fits my personal career narrative. Somehow the empty co-pilot seat in the Cobra and Python feels weird.

Wish ED would offer a single-seat version of those two ships or, at least, a hireable NPC Crew. Okay...dream request over.

I'll let you in on a little secret, the Asp has a second seat as well, but it's below you.

Plus you might want to check out what is planned for update 2.3

When designing the ships they had to think ahead..

You really won't like the anaconda then. It has multiple unused seats on the bridge. The FDL also has an offset copilots seat. Just for fun.

Well 2.2 was shown to have hired crew, but no evidence they'd be able to sit in the cockpit seat. Or that they can even be used on ships that don't have a Fighter hanger installed.

But even so... The groundwork is laid. Perhaps in v2.3 with the Multi-crew and Commander Creator feature set, the dream may be realized.

Interesting about the Asp and the second seat - always thought the cockpit looked huge on external shots - obviously I didn't know about it but with the camera controls the way the are I don't spend much time looking around on a outside view. Another peeve for another time.

Yes hopefully in a future update the empty seat will be filled.
