Mirrored Gameplay - Fixed camera position output in VR

For Streaming purposes, would it be possible to place one fixed camera position in place of the mirrored Window that currently shows the VR output on the main monitor.

It's quite nauseating to watch elite being streamed in VR, and the FOV is quite narrow which adds to the problem.

Thanks.

I don't think it can be done in elite dangerous. If it could it would mean rendering and recording another view. Performance is bad enough as it is without adding that to the mix.

I managed it in DCS by using built in recording functions. Here are two examples from DCS that I did recently. The first shows an enhanced FOV cockpit view with the rift head tracking included. I could have disabled the head tracking as an option. The second a 3rd person view which was also flown in the rift.

That's really cool. DCS is so difficult in VR right now, I have to centre the rift so that I'm literally in my own lap to look at each button or dial. Once the plane is up and running, it's relatively ok.
Back to Elite, it's a shame it can't happen right now for the fixed camera. But if they replace the monitor camera with a fixed camera they'll actually be using less of both CPU and GPU with no head movement etc.

I don't think they will. The view on the monitor is a pre warped frame for one eye which is being rendered on the GPU anyway. I don't think it costs much if anything to display it.

I'd love to play Elite without VR, but I simply can't go back to a flat screen, the game seems so bland. I'll still stream in VR anyway as it is.
