It would be nice if Mirrored Surface Composite Bulkheads offered added heat protection from a sun during fuel scooping and such. As it is now, they just offer added protection from energy weapons. It seems to me that they should give added shielding to all types of energy radiation.

Good point. Plasma accelerators and plasma coronas aren't terribly different are they?
I hope the engineers update will have something about heat management. Somewhere to go where I can modify my ship for better heat management. I wouldn't mind visiting several remote engineers to build my ultimate fighting ship.
As for the mirrored surface composite, leave its functionality as it is. It is better to let the Engineers update introduce more personalisation.
