I was just doing a smuggling run into Worlidge Terminal and as usual had the throttle wide open and 4 pips to engines in my Cobra. I was not lined up well, coming in hot at about 70* off center. Well usually I can pull this off.....drop pips to normal and back the throttle down a little earlier than normal.....and I can scoot right in.
Nope, not THIS time!
I totally blew it but had almost recovered, coming in at a spin trying to at least make the slot when WHAM! I run into the side of the slot and bounce around in the slot and the wire rack! I X'd the engines and lost 2 rings of shields but I was alive and facing the wrong way, like I was leaving.

Oh crap! Umm, Ummm.....full reverse into the station with fingers crossed that something big wasn't trying to get out! Nuthin' like flying blind. LOL
Success!
Backing in I manage to get clear of the slot traffic lane and flip around to find my pad. Pad 21, about halfway in. Nice! I scoot right over and set her down, avoiding the scan, any other ships and death itself.
