Was running cargo in my T6 today when I was interdicted by a Viper 3, I followed my standard practice by accepting the interdiction and then flying evasively while the FSD cooled down then re spun up to jump out of system.
I evasively flew with the Viper spending the majority of the time in my front arc trying to get its weapons to bear, all up it fired a grand total of 3 passes (1-2 secs for each pass i feel) with me ending on 77% hull strength, as I jumped the Viper fired missiles so this damage was from only the small or medium hardpoints.
This felt very wrong to me so when next interdicted, this time by a Cobra 3 (expert) i played a bit to compare the outcome.
The Cobra interdicted me 4 times, 3 times i flew as per the Viper ending up jumping with 2 full rings of shields. Forth time i dropped my speed and flew defensively with the viper on my ass for some 20+ secs before jumping ending on 56% hull.
To me this says there must be something is very wrong with scaling or something was missed with the engineer patch to remove NPC upgrades.
I don't recall the Vipers rank but if it was higher than expert there is a question as too why 6ish seconds of fire with half your armaments is drastically greater than an expert with the same approximate arms firing four times as longish.
If its not rank but upgrades still existing on some NPC ships this is still an issue
