Ummm neither is true.

It is available to Horizon players that also bought the first season. It is not free, just available for purchase. Its like 350k, hardly expensive.

Why would you get it for free?

It is available like any other ship for anyone having purchased the original game and Season 2 Horizons for in-game credits.

Nobody gets it for free. Alpha/beta backers get the ability to buy one.

It should be free. Read the other threads on this topic. FDev played the marketing game too far on this one. It's a shame they'd do this especially to loyal customers. (Now, whether it's really any reward or benefit is another story!)

it's my understanding that backers would get the viper mk4 for free. Available to all for purchase in the game.

The Cobra Mk4 is only available for purchase and only to people who had E: D and then bought Horizons. Horizons only or E: D only players do not get access to it at all.
