Missing Codex Info - Albidum Peduncle Trees

I am trying to scan Albidum Peduncle Trees that are right in front of my ship, in the Hawking's Gap region, except there is no entry in the Codex. As in, I literally can't scan it, because according to the Codex they don't exist in this region. Yet they do.

The system is Thaile HW-V E2-7.

Anyone know how to get something added/corrected in the Codex??

1. How are you trying to scan? (Just checking you know about the composition scanner, some don't )
2. Codex is broken and won't register / forgets some objects. That one doesn't ring a bell, but worth checking if there is an existing issue raised.

If you are the first one to discover them, your find will be the one shown in the codex. I am not sure though if you'd have to return the data for that. And if not, when the entry will be shown. Maybe it just takes a day or so?

Nope. It's instant. If it works.

What I mean is, this is a known system that I pulled up from the Codex, that has many other anomalies, all scanned/reported/confirmed by others. However, there are also these Albidum Peduncle Trees at the Lagrange Clouds. The problem is, if you open the Codex and look at Hawking's Gap, there is nothing. No entry for Albidum Peduncle Trees whatsoever, and when you try to scan them, nothing happens. Nothing. According to Elite they aren't actually there.

There are tons of broken ones in that region, as we found on Stellar Unknown. Also in the NGC 3199 area, where we found almost 150 in a search of 250 systems and many of those were buggy as well. Crystals which did not give any message when scanned and clouds that did not register at all were the main errors.

Most likely, you've found a bug. I'd recommend you take a couple of screenshots, including your coordinates and the open a ticket with FDev. My experience with support has been consistently positive.

However, according to some, you could very well have fallen into the same trap I have in believing what you see is real. This might help:

Considering that very cloud the tree is in was discovered in 3304, and it's pretty unlikely that the person who discovered it missed the trees, I'd say it's almost certainly bugged.

(And actually, that's the first time I've heard of this bug, which is a major PITA in that case)
