I don't understand what is going on with the elite dangerous server. I'm playing in solo mode, and when I go to the material trader to exchange encrypted data, it says it is not connected to the server. I then close the trader menu down, exit the game to the main menu, and log back into the game. Once I get back into the game, I open up the material trader menu again to exchange the level 4-5 encrypted data from Jameson's wreck site and I'm missing multiple pieces of data. This has happened the past few times and the last time it happened when I logged back into the game again, I was missing 30 pieces of level 5 data from another category that I never exchanged for. That is complete garbage that the server stole 30 pieces of level 5 data from my personal inventory. That is a lot of data to lose at a 6 to 1 exchange rate frontier, what is going on?

Some seem to report issues with the trader, others seem to say it works fine. Could be an issue that pops up when the servers are trash (which has happened a lot since the last update), could be it's specific to certain commander saves. 
Either way, no one on the forum can do anything about it. Your best bet is to report to support, with enough cases they may actually take action, with enough cases they may be able to see a commonality with commander saves if that is the issue.

It seems like there are strange things going on with my encoded data. I will check my inventory and both the tier 5 adaptive and tier 4 atypical encrypted will be full at 100/150 and then when I get back to the station to trade, I'm missing a 24-30 encoded material. I was really frustrated when the server stole 30 tier 5 encoded from a different section; it's like 1 step forward and 2 steps back when that happens. I have also had to connect a couple times fairly often to get back into the game, and I think there are some possible server issues, thanks for responding.
