Missing planets and Engineers

I have a problem.

I am not sure why but some of my Engineers and the planets they are on are missing. I know for a fact that I unlocked the following Engineers: Hero FerrarI and Wellington Beck. (see attatached screenshots). I wanted to upgrade some of my weapons and went looking for the these two engineers (however only showing screenshots for Hero Ferrari) only to find that the planets that they are on are not showing up. (again see screenshots)

Can someone at FDev help me out?

I have tried the folllowing troubleshoting items as well: Restarting the game completly , Verifying all files, rebooting my PC, Restarting the PC. Nothing has helped.

This happened to me. I did a quick fss. And all was good again. Strange as you say as i had been there before also.

There's a bug which shows up in roughly the following situation:
- you go to a system where the exploration data is "common knowledge" (which certainly applies to all inhabited systems)
- you don't run your own FSS scan or nav beacon scan to upgrade the data to "known by you" (or if you do, you don't sell that data)
- sometime later, you lose your ship which triggers a reset of unsold exploration data
- on return to the system, some of the "common knowledge" data is also erased.

You can generally get it back by re-doing the FSS scan or rescanning the nav beacon.

(Unfortunately because the bug's symptoms are a long way from their probable cause, and because it generally affects different systems for different players, it's basically impossible for it to get the ten confirmations needed on the bug tracker. So Frontier will never find out about it.)
