Missing Pulse Wave Analyzers at outfitting capable stations

The background story....
So I’ve been out exploring deep in the black and after watching ObsidianAnt’s mining live stream I had the sudden urge to give it a go. The nearest station with outfitting was Caravanserai in the Gandharvi system 15,000LY from Sol.

It turns out also the reward for a number of minerals is around 700,000cr per tonne which isn’t gold rush material but still pretty damn good.


Using the miner’s guide I found on reddit I fitted out my AspX. The only problem was that the outfitting had everything I needed (or could possibly need for deep core mining) EXCEPT the Pulse Wave Analyzer (checked under modules / utilities) which I believe is vital to deep core mining. I checked the two other stations with outfitting close by (Marlin’s Reach and a penal colony megaship in a neighbouring system) - no pulse wave analyzer. The next nearest station with outfitting is 4,000LY away and who even knows if it even has PWA's?


The request to FDev....
What I don’t get is why FDev would supply every other mining tool and not the PWA at a station designed to support mining? This is very very frustrating and rendered my mining aspirations useless!

FDEV, can you please update the outfitting for stations ASAP that are setup to support miners.

It occurs to me you may be looking in the wrong area, it's a utility mount and not a general module, are you looking for utility mounts?

The Pulse Wave Scanner has a surprisingly high outfitting requirement compared with the rest of the mining gear: we have just one system in Colonia which produces them, compared with just about everywhere stocking at least the Fixed versions of the new mining hardpoints.

At least the E-class ones should probably be available at a lower outfitting level.

Your closest option from Gandharvi is very likely to be either right back in the bubble, or Whirling Station in Ogmar - you may be at the "furthest station from a pulse wave scanner"...

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes I have looked under the Utility Mount section (same location as heat sink, ECM and shield boosters, right). I have also checked everywhere else, at least three times!

How confident are you I can pick up a Pulse Wave analyser in Omar? ie. is Inara reliable? Dervish platform has C rated PWA’s)
