Mission accomplished on Powerplay

"We want players to love or hate these Powers," Gregory continues.

Just seeing that portrait of that smug SOB Patreus just made me hate, HATE, the Empire more. I look forward to doing battle against anyone who would support a man like that. I now have a good reason to really buckle down and earn credits for more ships, better equipped ships, and really apply myself to learning tactics and better game play.

You tell Patreus that CMDR Capt.Smooner is coming and I am bringing Federation hell with me. Imperial children will check under their beds for me, slaves will cheer my name and Imperial pilots will lift up their skirts and run at the mere mention of my name.

As that wise man, Joe Swanson from Family Guy, says "LETS DO IT"

You have the nerve to reference the Senators image! See to your own first! Pursey-cats in spacesuits flying space ships. . . ? Sums up the average Federal pilot, me thinks.
I'm also a bit worried why our children should be checking under their beds for you. Fear not, however, most Imperial youngsters have a personal slave who'll die protecting the child.
Don't forget your remlock when you come visiting; you'll definitely be needing it. (Maybe some cat litter too, we not too keen on soiling in Imperial systems.)

Patreus is a bit of a dodgy so and so, but you can't fault the man for getting things done. I'd be wary to support him, however, as he seems to place his own interests ahead of the Empire as a whole. I believe the Princess's forces are operating around my home sector though, so I may have my allegiance decided for me. Only time may tell.

I've already fought for him in his campaigns so I reckon I know where I stand in the up coming struggle. I'll still have to check all the options (20!) and then decide.
Imperials are going to be at logger heads about tradition and continuity and I can help but wonder if we'll be fighting each other eventually.
Exciting stuff! :D

This is exactly what I was hoping the game would evolve to. It warms my heart knowing that there are more like me out there that have strong feelings for a more in depth immersion in the game. I really do look forward to matching skill against skill and I lift up my mug to you all and salute to your health. This is a game after all. Here is one federation pilot that will not combat log but will fight you to the last, rebuy and hunt you down.

Yep, same for me - guess I'll be fighting with you!

Having fun doing merc stuff for the Empire, but they still look like a bunch of loonies. The stations have "hail emperor bask!" all over them, and the powerplay pic confirms their strange fashion etiquette!

I'm interested to see how the Alliance is represented with this update.

You're either flying into Imperial stations too quickly to read or the Alliance education system is as shoddy as their fashion sense. Is it true that you all wear bell bottom space suits or do you fly naked as the bar rumours say?

You make flying naked sound like it is something bad. Where do you think the song lyrics "My anaconda don't want none" came from?
