No offense, but you really don't know how the internet works, do you? :)

And I will still bet real cash that you have a potato for a router :D

Actually you are at 0Mbit on a Motorola Surfboard cable modem. What is handling your routing?

The game has been a little slower for me as well these last couple of days & with an excellent internet connection. (no problem does happen:)). Maybe the dev's are adding content to the E.D (28th) without turning off the server's which would slow down certain parts of the game.

Hope its this & yeah it can be infuriating to not be able to connect but do check you're side of things also. router/firewall/reset etc. good luck.:)

Stop, just stop. Its common knowledge why this is happening. And it has absolutely nothing to do with our dial up modem services. I even called Mindspring and they confirmed it.

Please educate me, elucidate, explain - deliver the common knowledge :)

This kind of answer comes from internet sociopath trolls, all the time. [yesnod]

And that kind of answer comes from people who believe that UDP is stateful :D

Yeah I am super curious why this is the only product I have issues with 24MBPS down net service. Do enlighten us. You are saying we need gigabit net to play this      game? Please show me where it is written regarding a necessary net connection. Firsthand knowledge that there is another member of my wing playing on 5MBPS and others with 150MPBS GUESS WHAT: THEY HAVE THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE!

Do I doubt you know what you are talking about? Nope

Do I doubt you do anything in your life except work, play Elite & post on forums, while drinking alcohol, alone? Nope

Drunks of Sol approve!

And what I do matters not - my actions or inactions (or indeed my existence) are not going to solve the problems of people trying to play on potatos :D

That's why he said routing. You can have a Gb/Gb full duplex H-bone connection it won't help you a wooden nickel, if your router stops the UDP/TCP packets. Or if your routing to the ED servers in the UK goes through an internet black hole with 60-70% packet loss. So yes, it is possible that the servers themselves are having a hissy fit and aren't working, but it is just as likely possible that your connection TO the server is messed up somewhere along the way. How fast an internet connection you have does not factor into that.

Why would you assume I'm using a router and not straight connected to the net? Does everybody online use a      internet connection LOL?

I hope you paid extra cash for a publically available IP :D

If you are going to sit there on a 10 range then no wonder you have problems :D

You do realize that just because you might not have a router, getting your data packet from your computer to a server possibly across the ocean needs routing, right? Or do you think that the "internet" is this amorphous blob that just exists in the aether?
