I know there's a lot of talk on the topic at the moment - but might I suggest that for 'the next big update', rather than content, or this, that or the other engineering with new materials etc etc - instead, some real attention is given to the mission board?
This is the heart of the entire game, for (almost) everyone. And an awful lot of issues seem to stem from it. There's an awful lot of knee-jerk and - please, forgive my bluntness, ham-fisted nerfs and buffs to try and make various bits and pieces fit together; but from the outside, it looks like someone trying to complete a jigsaw puzzle using a hacksaw on the pieces.
Every time a quick fix is used in one area, it seems to have a knock-on impact in another area (which isn't surprising - I do appreciate with BGS, there's no doubt all sorts of complexity behind the scenes - which reinforces the point I'm trying to make that knee-jerk quick-fixes really do not seem to be paying off.)
I know this is teaching grandma how to suck eggs - and I'm aware that there's a certain degree of friction on the forums between new and old members. I come in peace. I'm honestly just trying to calmly suggest that, rather than a 3.0.4 to fix the 3.0.3 to fix the 3.0.2, that perhaps a "stand back, and really think this through", might save FDev, and the players, a bit of time and sanity?
