So I went to turn in a takedown mission (along with optional objectives) and when I collected the reward, it failed the mission when I turned it in. Excuse me, what? I opened an issue on the tracker as it should not be doing this.

After the take down when you go back in your ship did you get a message that a NPC was going to come after you for taking down the NPC you took down?
If you did then did you read and delete the message and/or destroy the NPC ship?
I am asking because I have had the above scenario multiple times and could not run in a completed take down misison. In my case I believe deleting the message causes the mission to fail, some kind of bug.

Never got a message about the enemy ship, though I got dialogue and a mission target, so I ended up getting a bounty too. I cleaned it off at an interstellar factor, and then ended up getting the mission failed the second I collected my reward.

EDO missions often have a 3 hour window to complete and hand in.
