Mission critical ... confusion!

When you arrive in a system you might receive a time bonus message, however they just give you the -contact- name and not the destination. You know ... The info you actually need?

"could you deliver the data/supplies sooner than expected..."
I'm sorry, but who the hell are you and which delivery? I'm supposed to know this just based on contact name?

Is this a PS4 'feature' or am I missing something in this badly flawed message system?

Check your transaction tab in the left panel. The mission in question will have an "Updated" tag next to it.

Thats my main issue. What if... 6 deliveries to 4 locations.
Especially with the idiotic 3 min time limit on 200ls distance.
The sidepanel doesn't show location withou opening each 1by1.

That would make a nice improvement to the transactions side panel. Put the destination below the name each contract. Theres an empty line there :)

Well as a general rule of thumb go to the station thats closest first?

The timer is longer for the ones further away giving you more time to get them after.

Not really a problem even if it is a little opaque

When you get the 'time bonus' wrinkle message it is always referring to delivering it to the original location. There is an entirely different message if a mission is getting the 'secondary location' wrinkle.

If more than one mission, with the same 'title', is being updated you just have to verify what has happened to each mission by reviewing the mission info in the 'Transactions' tab in the left had panel. Each mission that was updated will have an indicator, and you can see the update listed in the description.

Once upon a time, those "mission critical" messages diverted your destination and wasted your time. Since then. I always ignored them. If you don't open them, your mission won't get redirected. But if there's a time bonus attached, you'll still get the bonus, even if you don't look at the message. You can tell if there was a bonus when you turn your 10k mission in and receive 250k.

So ignore the message. Win-win.

Diversion message are more clear I take less issue with those. And if an extra 500k is thrown in why not go to the alternate.

What if more than one updated?

That never happened to me. Must be a mission stacking thing.
I do have a couple of missions at a time, sometimes, but when I arrive at a system, if something's updated it's the mission for the system I'm in, so I never had any confusion about this.

My main issue is glaring missing info on messages.
I used to get 'follow up' mission with just the name of the group.
I'm supposed to know which SYSTEM and STATION just off the damn group name I visited an hour ago?

valuable information in mission messages is woefully inadequate. every message should have

1. the name of the contact
2. the name of the giver faction
3. the name of the receiver faction
4. reward
4. the mission details
5. optionals

if all of that is too much to cram into a message then show (1), the message and a link in the message to the other stuffs. maybe a direct link back to the mission details.

then add a countdown timer for the updated delivery time to the mission so we can quickly see importance.
