mission for stolen scrap.. am i doing it wrong?

Hi

for the last few updates with the new 3 tiers for USS I have found the USS system way less annoying however i just took on a federation ascention missing to get 10 tons of stolen scrap

and i am stuffed if i can find any. have spent well over an hr scouring through USSs to no avail.

Am i doign it wrong? is this one i need to get a cargo scanner and start pirating? if so i will just fail it and wait for another i think. i am not a pirate.

(mission is titeld economic warfare)

Yes, you need to pirate it from a trader. It's not worth doing the missions asking for stolen goods.

If you both would work together this current massy spawning mission type would be easy convert from " not worth doing the missions" to a money cheat for all missions with usual buyable goods ...
How change cargo to stolen? "Cargo hatch is now online ..."
Game is again in very bad state in many, many points.
