Incoming Transmission....

Greetings Commander. The Galactic Mapping Project has put out a request for help on a mission.

The Deep Space Depot Project

The better serve deep space explorers, the Galactic Mapping Project keeps a list of regional systems where travellers can find all of the materials necessary for in situ synthesis of FSD Injection boosts. You can find a map of the current locations here.

We have areas which currently lack any depots. Accordingly the GMP is asking for explorers to submit depots for particular areas (see below). Accepted submissions will be credited to the explorer when added to the map.

Criteria: Submitted systems need to have landable bodies which, together, have the complete list of materials for all three grades of FSD injection. These materials are: Vanadium, Germanium, Cadmium, Niobium, Arsenic, Yttrium, and Polonium. There is no requirement on the material rarity %. Submissions need to include: The system location, a proposed name for the depot, a screen shot of the system map or a scenic photo, and a list of the planets with the necessary materials. EDDiscovery images do not count. For an example of a high-quality submission, see here.

Needed Depots:

All coordinates in Galaxy Map format (x, z, y), with the vertical axis left out. Areas are all rectangles or square. Depots do not need to be *exactly* in these regions, if they're fairly close, and farther away from existing depots.

* Via Maris region: The area from -10,000, 0 to -20,000, 5000 Completed by Cmdr Nolanus Raven
* Orion Spur Shallows region: The area from 10,000, 0 to 20,000, 5000 Completed by Cmdr Chrystoph
* Outer Perseus Transit region: The area from 20,000, 0 to 30,000, 5000
* Eurus region: The area from 10,000, 30,000 to 15,000, 40,000
* The Ascendance/Hipparcos region: The area from 15,000, 30,000 to 25,000, 40,000
* Upper Centaurus Reach region: The area from 20,000, 15,000 to 30,000, 20,000
* The Fallows region: The area from -15,000, 10,000 to -20,000, 20,000

* Zephyrus region: The area from -15,000, 40,000 to -25,000, 45,000

"Challenge" Depots: (expected to be extra hard!)

* Tenebris Depot: The area from 30,000, 15,000 to 40,000, 30,000
* Lower Angustia region: The area from -20,000, 0 to -30,000, 10,000
* Deep Formidine Rift region: The area from -10,000, -10,000 to -20,000, 0 Completed by Cmdr May
* The Abyssal Plain region: The area from -20,000, 60,000 to -30,000, 50,000

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Prospected system.

Hey there.

I posted this over in the general GMP thread for a planetary/system composition POI, but this system also has good Jumponium depot potential. I know it's closer to the core, so I'll see what you think [smile].

Name: Vela Prospect \ Arisata Prospect (Second name has sentimental value for me, from a mod I made for F:E2 back in the day)
Game map search ref: Oochonz JH-S d5-6
Location: 3704.09375 / -85.875 / -1846.6875

Here is a list of what bodies contain these minerals:

Vanadium - A1, A3, A9a, A11a, A11b, B6
Germanium - A2, A4
Cadmium - A1, A2, A3, A11b
Niobium - A4, A5, A9a
Arsenic - B6
Yttrium - A5, A11a
Polonium- A3

Shot of system (Bookmarked bodies are terraformable):

A complete breakdown of all minerals is on the EDSM:

Preou Thoe RK-Y c1-0

Howdy! I just located a green system within an hours flight of the western meridian, in the Deep Formidine Rift area:

Preou Thoe RK-Y c1-0
System: M-L binary. L about 112kls from primary
Coordinates: -23196.84, 414.06, -2230.63
Suggested name: Meridian West Depot (unless another, closer to the western meridian itself is found)

This unassuming system is well into the outer arm, approximately 1.5 kly SE of the Sidgoir permit region. Most jumponium mats can be located in around the A star, however, Y and V are only found around the relatively distant brown dwarf companion, about 112,000 ls distant. Whilst dark, these planets can be quite beautiful!

Germanium: A1 (4.3%), A2 (4.6%), A6 (3.5%), A7 (3.2%)
Vanadium: B1 (3.8%)
Cadmium: A1 (1.6%), A2 (1.7%), A3 (1.3%), A4 (1.3%), A6 (1.3%), A7 (1.2%), B3 (1.2%)
Niobium: A4 (1.1%), A5 (1.1%), A8 (1.1%), B3 (1.1%), B5 (1.1%), B7 (1.1%)
Yittrium: B1 (.9%), B4 (1.0%)
Arsenic: A4 (1.5%), A6 (1.6%), A8 (1.5%)
Polonium: A1 (.6%), B2 (.4%), B5 (.4%)
Others present, see EDDiscovery screenshot

Excellent! This will work nicely!

Hmm, sounds like a project I might be interested in, it should also be noted that small volcanic worlds need an extra mention, if anyone finds a small volcanic world in these regions that has the required minerals but they can't find the vulcanism please let me know and I will go and search for it, the percentage of minerals in volcanic sites is up to ten times the percentage of the open areas so it's worth finding for a quick jumponium refill.

Thank you for your submission, but this does not fit any of the needed depots on the list. However, it will still be considered for entry as a normal POI.

Sorry I don't have exact systems/planets for you but so far The Tenebris has had plentiful jumponium components in most systems I've dropped into. Currently crossing in the "South" where it reminds me a lot of the Rift.

System in the Via Maris region.

Hey guys,

I've been scouting out in the Via Maris area, and I came across this nice Jumponium system. Plenty of landable bodies with minerals.

9e: Cadmium (1.5), Polonium (0.5)
9f: Germanium (5.5), Vanadium (4.7)

There is also a terraformable world in the system for further expansion.

Would this system qualify for your list? I see you have been looking for ones in various regions, and this one seems to fit.

I gave it a basic name, but The Perseus Rendezvous would be nice too.

This falls in the -10,000,0 to -20,000, 5000 range, and so will work for the Via Maris Depot! Thank you!

Eafots UY-S d3-24

Contains all Jumponium materials

EDSM link: https://www.edsm.net/en/system/bodies/id/2345206/name/Eafots+UY-S+d3-24

That's cool, except:

1) It doesn't match any of the needed depots;
2) It doesn't match any of the criteria: "Submissions need to include: The system location, a proposed name for the depot, a screen shot of the system map or a scenic photo, and a list of the planets with the necessary materials. "

So.... not actually cool?

These depots don't fall under your requested zones, but do hold significance.

The first is inside route plottable space just East of Star One:
GMP Post Link

The second is two jumps from Star One:
GMP Post Link

While not explicitly requested these two depots would aid in any explorer's trip out to Star One; I'll be approaching Erikson's Star soon and will provide a Jumponium rich system from plottable space and one near Erikson's Star (assuming I find one).

I have a question or two.

Is there a master list for Jumponium rich systems? I am currently in a jumponium green system but don't know if it is already reported as such. If there is a master list how do we report finds to add to it? I am going to head out to one of specified areas after finishing with this system and was just wondering if I can report finds not in the areas, and if they are still wanted.
